Limited Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 1 October 2019

1. Warranty Coverage

Oceanic Innovations Inc. (“Manufacturer”) warrants that all vibratory deburring and finishing equipment (“Equipment”) manufactured by Oceanic Innovations Inc. shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions and when installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with Oceanic Innovations Inc.'s instructions.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period is:

  • 12 months from the invoice date of purchase by the original purchaser.

3. What Is Covered

During the warranty period, Oceanic Innovations Inc. will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair defective components, or
  • Replace defective parts

 

This applies only to defects resulting from:

  • Faulty manufacturing
  • Defective materials

 

All warranty repairs are performed at the manufacturer’s facility unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

Replacement parts may be new or reconditioned components that meet original equipment specifications.

4. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:
    • Liners (polyurethane or rubber)
    • Springs
    • Bearings
    • Media, compounds, or consumables
  • Damage caused by:
    • Improper installation or setup
    • Misuse, abuse, or neglect
    • Operation outside recommended parameters
    • Lack of routine maintenance
  • Electrical issues due to:
    • Improper voltage, phase, or wiring
  • Modifications or repairs not authorized by Oceanic Innovations Inc.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance

·         Damage resulting from accidents, fire, flood, lightning, acts of God, or other external causes.

·         Freight damage occurring during shipment or after delivery.  Freight damage must be reported to the delivering carrier immediately and is the responsibility of the carrier. Oceanic Innovations Inc. will reasonably assist customers with freight claims but is not responsible for damage occurring during transportation.

·         Damage resulting from improper storage.

·         Damage caused by the use of non-approved replacement parts or accessories.

·         Routine adjustments, lubrication, alignment, calibration, or preventative maintenance.

·         Damage caused by abrasive media, corrosive compounds, chemicals, or processed materials not recommended by Oceanic Innovations Inc.

5. Shipping & Service Responsibility

  • Customer is responsible for all shipping costs to Oceanic Innovations Inc. for warranty service
  • Oceanic Innovations Inc. will pay standard ground return shipping within the continental United States.
  • Any expedited shipping requested by the customer is at the customer’s expense
  • If on-site service is requested or required:
    • Travel, labor, lodging, and related expenses are the responsibility of the customer

6. Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Oceanic Innovations Inc. with:
    • Machine model and serial number
    • Description of the issue
    • Photos or videos (if applicable)
  2. Wait for authorization before returning any equipment or parts
  3. Ship authorized items to the designated service location

Unauthorized returns may be refused.  Oceanic Innovations Inc. reserves the right to inspect the Equipment prior to approving any warranty claim.

7. Owner Responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, the purchaser shall:

• Operate the Equipment according to the operating manual.

• Perform routine maintenance.

• Maintain proper electrical service.

• Keep the machine reasonably clean.

• Not modify the Equipment without written approval.

• Promptly discontinue operation if continued use may result in additional damage.

8. Limitation of Liability

Oceanic Innovations Inc. shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of production, downtime, loss of profits, loss of use, or business interruption.
  • Damage to parts being processed
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

The manufacturer’s liability is limited strictly to repair or replacement of defective components.

9. Warranty Void

This warranty shall become void if:

  • The Equipment has been modified without written authorization.
  • Required serial numbers have been removed or altered.
  • Repairs are performed by unauthorized personnel.
  • The Equipment is used for purposes other than those for which it was designed.

10. Disclaimer

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

 

No dealer, distributor, salesperson, employee, or representative is authorized to modify or extend this warranty unless such modification is made in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Oceanic Innovations Inc.

 

This Limited Warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
